Lanzerac Pionier Pinotage

Possibly one of the finest Pinotage reds produced in the Cape, The Lanzerac Pionier is a tribute to the first world’s first bottled Pinotage on the very same estate.

This serious wine has an excellent deep colour, with typical varietal aromas like ripe, plummy red fruit on the nose and palate. A big mouth-feel, complex and velvety pallet and long and lingering aftertaste rounds off this wine perfectly. With 5 to 10 years maturation, the Pionier Pinotage will start to acquire the velvet density and luxurious chocolate flavours which are synonymous with this world famous variety.
