Founded in 2021, we are an independent South African wine specialist focused on one thing: connecting exceptional Western Cape producers with the Irish market.
South Africa is making some of the best value premium wines in the world today. From Paarl to Stellenbosch, Elgin to Franschhoek, the quality, diversity, and consistency now coming out of the Cape is remarkable — and still widely underappreciated.
We work closely with independent, sustainability-minded producers, sourcing small parcels of wines that over-deliver in quality, character, and price. These are wines built for the table — precise, balanced, and expressive of place.
Originally launched during the COVID lockdowns, when alcohol bans and export restrictions placed enormous strain on South African producers, the business was born out of a desire to offer meaningful support at a critical moment. That same ethos continues today: long-term partnerships, fair pricing, and thoughtful distribution.
Alongside our direct-to-consumer business, we now supply the on-trade across Ireland, working with restaurants and wine bars who value provenance, originality, and wines that make sense on a list as well as in the glass.
The term “Rainbow Nation” speaks to South Africa’s diversity — but for us it also represents resilience, optimism, and the quiet confidence of a region that continues to redefine what great wine looks like.
