It’s no secret that alcohol is expensive in Ireland, wine in particular carries heavy import costs – In fact, in Ireland we pay the highest excise duty and VAT on wine in Europe; €3.20 per bottle for still, €6.40 per bottle for sparkling. Add in VAT at 23%, plus high shipping costs, and the landed cost per bottle quickly becomes eye wateringly over inflated.

We do our best to keep retail prices as fair as possible so you can still enjoy great SA wine here in Ireland.
