We operate online only. Our wines are shipped from our warehouse in Dublin.

You may occasionally find some of our wines listed at lower prices in the UK or mainland Europe. There are several reasons for this.

As an Irish specialist wine retailer, we face additional costs when bringing wines into Ireland, including Irish excise duty, VAT, freight, customs and logistics costs. These costs can be significantly different from those faced by retailers in other European markets or the UK.

We also operate on a much smaller scale than many large UK and European wine merchants, who can benefit from substantially higher purchasing volumes and lower distribution costs.

We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible while bringing small-production, premium South African wines to Ireland that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

Where we can secure better buying prices or special allocations, we pass those savings on to our customers through competitive pricing and occasional promotions.

It’s no secret that alcohol is expensive in Ireland, and wine is particularly heavily taxed.

Every bottle imported into Ireland carries significant excise duty — currently €3.20 per bottle for still wine and €6.40 for sparkling wine — before 23% VAT is applied. Add international freight, customs and logistics costs, and the cost of getting a bottle onto an Irish shelf can increase substantially before we’ve even added our margin.

As a small independent wine merchant, we don’t have the buying power of the large retailers, but we work hard to keep our prices as fair and competitive as possible.

Our aim is simple: to make great South African wine as accessible as we can for customers in Ireland, while still running a sustainable business.

The term "Rainbow Nation" was famously used by Archbishop Desmond Tutu to describe South Africa's diverse population.

For us, it represents much more than diversity.

Nationwide Delivery is normally 2 to 3 business days (We can offer next day delivery to Dublin).

We are unable to ship to international addresses (Outside Ireland).

Dublin delivery is charged at €10

Nationwide delivery is charged at €15

Free delivery on orders of €150 or more.

Northern Ireland delivery is charged at €15

Note we usually ship single bottles and mixed boxes from a separate location to cases of 6, so they may arrive with two different couriers. 

Our cases of 6 will usually be delivered in their original boxes direct from our warehouse in Dublin, within 2 to 3 business days.

Our single bottles and mixed boxes will be delivered by tracked courier and dispatched from our HQ in Kildare, within 5 business days.
