The Doorkeeper Shiraz is a red wine full of character from Stellenbosch, one of South Africa's best-known wine regions. The renowned Hartenberg Estate is famous for its high-quality Shiraz, which perfectly combine elegance, fruitiness and spice. This accessible, fresh interpretation of the grape variety impresses with intense fruit aromas, silky tannins and an impressive balance.
In the glass, This is a deep ruby red with violet reflections. Aromas of dark wild berries and juicy plums unfold on the nose, complemented by subtle notes of white pepper and a hint of caramel. On the palate, the wine is supple and well-balanced, with soft tannins and a pleasant freshness. Notes of blackberry and cranberry accompany the long finish. This red wine is given a subtle spiciness through 12 months of barrel ageing.
