Lozärn is a pioneer of Carmenère in South Africa, with just 8 hectares planted across the region, making this an exceptionally rare and distinctive South African wine.

Why we sourced this wine

We’re always looking for wines that offer something genuinely different, and Lozärn Carmenère certainly fits the bill. South African Carmenère is incredibly rare, and Lozärn has carved out a unique place for the variety. It’s an intriguing alternative to the more familiar Cabernet and Shiraz, while still offering the richness and approachability that makes it an easy wine to enjoy.
