Collection: Momento

An exciting new discovery for us, Momento was established in 2013 while Marelise Niemann was winemaker at Beaumont in Bot River. 

She has since become known for wines of purity, elegance and honesty, working with old vines in both Bot River and the Swartland with a minimal intervention approach, putting terroir front and centre.

That first vintage was two barrels of Grenache Noir and her love affair with the grape has deepened; she now works with all three Grenache varieties.

 Marelise is part of a wave of impressive new producers whose passion and down to earth nature really shines through in their craft. Momento's wines have caught the eye of numerous critics, with Tim Atkin rating their full portfolio nothing less than 93 points, with their Chenin Verdelho clocking an impressive 95 points. An Incredible performance considering how 'new' this wine estate is!
