This sensational Cap Classique would not look out of place in a line-up of high end Champagne, but at a fraction of the price. Wonderfully elegant and refined, with lots of energy. Presenting citrus notes, a subtle toasty touch and extra layers of complexity from the use of different fermentation vessels. It's easy to see why master of wine Tim Atkin, has awarded this his sparkling wine of the year for the past few years, consistently scoring an impressive 97 points.
Only released when the vintage is deemed worthy, the Cuvée Clive represents the very best of Cap Classique. Made from the estate’s finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir parcels and matured for more than 60 months.
A sparkling wine that rivals the finest in Champagne, and proves just how world-class South Africa’s MCC can be.
