No one has bottled Pinotage longer than Lanzerac, and this wine reflects generations of expertise with South Africa’s signature grape. First released in 1961, Pinotage is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault.
This wine showcases depth, balance, and unique flavours, offering a polished expression that appeals to both curious newcomers and Pinotage fans alike.
Tasting Notes
Rich aromas of ripe black plum, cherry, and mulberry are layered with smoky spice, dark chocolate, and subtle oak. The palate is medium to full-bodied with smooth, velvety tannins, well-integrated fruit, and a long, savoury finish.
Winemaking
Made from selected Stellenbosch vineyards and matured in oak to enhance structure and complexity, while retaining the fruit purity and character that define classic Pinotage.
