Sadie Family Treinspoor is one of the Swartland’s most characterful reds, crafted from old-vine Tinta Barocca that thrives in the rugged soils along the historic railway line that gives the wine its name. The nose is beautifully lifted with dark cherry, plum skin, violets, warm spice and a signature earthy, graphite-like depth. On the palate it’s poised and pure, with fine tannins, bright acidity and a graceful sense of restraint, offering layers of red fruits, savoury complexity and a long, quietly powerful finish. Treinspoor remains one of Eben Sadie’s most unique and expressive wines — limited, ageworthy, and unmistakably Swartland.
